Parke County Jail Roster Limits
Parke County inmate records should be read with one key local fact in mind: the Parke County Sheriff's Office website did not show a dedicated, county-branded full jail roster in the research materials. The sheriff home page publishes recent arrest items and Warrant Wednesday notices, and those posts can include names, towns, charge language, bond status, and whether a person was taken to Parke County Jail. Those posts are useful public notices, but they are not the same as a full jail population list.
The official statewide portal to check is INjail Public Access, the Indiana County Jail Public Portal. During the June 12, 2026 inspection in the research file, Parke County metadata existed through the portal endpoint, but Parke did not appear in the public county dropdown list. That means a no-result search should not be treated as proof that a person is not in Parke County custody. For Parke County inmate records, the reliable fallback chain is jail phone, in-person jail contact, Indiana SAVIN or VINELink for custody notification, and an Indiana Access to Public Records Act request when a copy of a record is needed.
The official Parke County Jail page shows local jail operations, including mail, bond, phone, commissary, and property rules.
The jail page is the better source for how Parke County handles people after booking, even though it does not publish a full searchable custody roster.
Use Parke County Inmate Search
A practical Parke County inmate search starts by deciding which system should hold the record. A person arrested by the Parke County Sheriff's Office, Rockville Police, Montezuma Police, Rosedale Police, Indiana State Police Putnamville, or a conservation officer is most likely a county jail lookup at first. A person who has been sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction is an IDOC lookup. A federal defendant or immigration detainee may be outside both systems.
- Check INjail Public Access as the official statewide county-jail portal, but do not assume Parke is active in the public dropdown.
- Search by last name first. Add first name, birth date, booked-between dates, or released-between dates when the name is common.
- If Parke County does not appear or no result is found, call Parke County Jail at (765) 569-5413 for current custody confirmation.
- Use Indiana SAVIN or VINELink when the goal is notice of release, transfer, or custody status.
- Use Indiana MyCase only after a court case is filed. A same-day booking may not yet have a filed case.
- Use the IDOC offender locator for sentenced prison custody, including Rockville Correctional Facility.
The Parke Co. Sheriff's Office IN mobile app exists on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Store text describes public safety news, tips, and sheriff communication. It did not confirm an app-only inmate roster, so the app should not replace jail custody verification.
Parke County Roster Search Fields
The INjail search form gives the best official field model for Indiana jail roster searches, even though Parke public dropdown coverage was not confirmed. The portal validates that at least one search value must be entered. Results language in the application also referred to showing recent results for the last thirty days, which matters for released people and older Parke County inmate records.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Text | No by itself | Alpha-only field with a fifty-character limit. It is the strongest starting point. |
| First Name | Text | No | Use with last name to narrow a common name. |
| Birth Date | Date | No | Uses an m/d/yyyy style entry in the public app. |
| County | Dropdown | No | Parke metadata existed, but Parke was not visible in the current public dropdown inspected June 12, 2026. |
| Booked Between | Date range | No | Quick ranges include Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, and Last Month. |
| Released Between | Date range | No | Useful for recent release checks, but not an archive of all old bookings. |
The INjail Public Access page is the official statewide starting point for participating county jail records.
For Parke County inmate records, the screenshot is best used as a field guide for the statewide portal, not as proof that Parke records are fully listed there.
Parke County Inmate Profile Fields
Public Parke County inmate records may not expose every jail data field online. Indiana county jail standards still explain what a county jail must record internally for an admitted person, unless a statute bars it. The INjail field inventory also shows the public-style profile fields that can appear when a county participates and supplies detail.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The person name as displayed by the jail or portal. |
| Mugshot | A booking-photo component exists in INjail, but Parke public photo coverage is not confirmed. |
| INjail ID | Portal-specific identifier, not the same as a court case number. |
| Booking # | The jail book-in number. Parke bond instructions require this for GovPayNow. |
| Booked On and Arrest Date | Dates tied to jail intake and arrest, if supplied. |
| Arresting Agency | Possible local sources include the sheriff, Rockville Police, Montezuma Police, Rosedale Police, Indiana State Police, or conservation officers. |
| Released On | Release date if listed. Transfer or another hold can still affect freedom from custody. |
| Holds and Cases | Public holds or linked case entries. Confirm court details through MyCase or the clerk. |
Useful terms: booking is jail intake, classification is the housing and security review, a detainer is another agency hold, and a PR bond is release on a promise to appear without posting full cash bond.
Parke County Jail vs IDOC Records
Parke County has both a county jail and a large state prison in Rockville. They are not the same system. Parke County Jail is the sheriff-run local detention facility for recent arrests, pretrial detainees, local warrants, probation matters, bond revocations, and people awaiting transfer. Rockville Correctional Facility is an Indiana Department of Correction state prison for sentenced adult female incarcerated people and female intake/classification.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| Parke County jail custody | Jail phone, sheriff posts, INjail where available, SAVIN | Recent arrest, booking, bond, local hold, current custody |
| Indiana state prison | IDOC offender locator | Sentenced state custody, DOC number, facility assignment |
| Federal prison | BOP inmate locator | Federal sentenced inmates from 1982 to present |
| Federal pretrial | U.S. Marshals Southern District of Indiana | Federal hold or pretrial custody that may not be in BOP |
| Immigration custody | ICE detainee locator | ICE detention or immigration custody status |
Custody note: A person can move from Parke County Jail to another jurisdiction after release, transfer, sentencing, extradition, or a detainer.
Parke County Inmate Facilities
The two Parke County facilities serve different record needs. Families seeking current local custody should start with Parke County Jail. Families seeking a sentenced prison record, DOC number, prison mail rules, or IDOC visitation should use Rockville Correctional Facility and IDOC resources instead.

Parke County Booking Records
A Parke County booking begins when law enforcement brings a person to Parke County Jail after an arrest, warrant pickup, probation matter, revocation, or other legal authority. Indiana jail standards require admitted inmates to have core information recorded, such as booking number, intake date and time, name and aliases, commitment authority, age, sex, race, height, weight, fingerprints, classification, property inventory, and release information unless prohibited by law.
The booking record is not the same as the court case. A sheriff post may describe arrest allegations or say a report is being forwarded to the Parke County Prosecutor's Office. Formal charges can differ once the prosecutor files in court. Use Parke County court records after a jail arrest when the question is the filed charge, hearing date, disposition, or court order.
Parke County Jail Visiting Rules
The official jail page reviewed for the research had a Visitations heading, but no readable Parke County Jail schedule was captured. That gap should be handled as a live verification issue, not filled from another county. Call before traveling to confirm visit days, sign-up rules, ID rules, child visitor rules, and whether visits are in person, video, restricted, or temporarily changed.
| Topic | Parke County Detail |
|---|---|
| Published schedule | No detailed schedule was visible in the captured official jail text. |
| Confirm by phone | Use the main jail/sheriff number, (765) 569-5413. |
| Visitor ID | Confirm before arrival. Property pickup specifically requires a valid driver's license or state ID. |
| State prison visits | Rockville Correctional Facility visits follow IDOC rules, not Parke County Jail rules. |
Note: Do not rely on another Indiana county's visit schedule for Parke County Jail.

Parke County Commissary Funds
Commissary deposits for Parke County Jail use JailATM. The online path requires an account, then Send Money Now, Indiana and the facility, at least three characters of the resident's last name or ID, payment information, amount, terms acceptance, and final review. Visa and Mastercard are listed for online deposits. The lobby kiosk at the jail accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Cashier's checks and money orders are not accepted for commissary deposits.
Property release has its own rule. The inmate must fill out a property release form that names the person allowed to pick up the property. The pickup person must have a valid driver's license or state ID. Personal items are not accepted at the window, though essential clothing items may be ordered from outside retailers and shipped to the jail when the inmate lacks commissary funds.
